1959 Topps #512 George Altman Rookie Autograph PSA/DNA PSA 6 Auto Grade 10

George Altman, a two time all-star, also served in the US Army. After the 1956 year, Altman received a draft notice from the U.S. Army. “I pretty much went straight from Burlington into the Army and was sent to Fort Carson, Colorado,” he recalled. While he was in the service, Altman continued to play baseball (as well as basketball). “The Army experience was huge,” he said, “because of the way I played with other guys who I knew were ahead of me in the minors, or in the majors. We played against some major league players in the All-Army Championships tournament.”

The product is a 1959 Topps #512 George Altman Rookie Autograph card, graded as a PSA 5 Auto Grade 9 by Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA). The card features a hard-signed autograph from George Altman, who played in the Major League (MLB) for the Chicago Cubs. This baseball trading card is a valuable piece for collectors, showcasing a rookie card from the 1959 season with professional authentication.
